HRP President’s Message

Happy New Year!

I can hardly believe 2015 is here, and we are gearing up for a very interactive year at HRP.

It was hard to say goodbye to 2014 as HRP, together with our sponsors and members, accomplished many wonderful things.

HRP held two relevant educational events, awarded two scholarships in the amount of $2,500 each to two very deserving high school seniors, and through the support of our sponsors, HRP hosted Candlelighters’ families at our Astros event.  At our Annual Golf Tournament, HRP raised money for Candlelighters, and we wrapped up the year with a well-attended Holiday Social, a bundle of toys for Candlelighters, and a check donation in the amount of $20,000.

I am excited to serve as this year’s President, and I am thankful for the 12 other Board Members that will be working beside me to bring high profile educational topics, events, outreach opportunities and benefits for our members and sponsors.

I see 2015 as a year for giving back, member interaction, new venues, exciting and relevant educational topics, and most of all an organization with the vision to keep moving to new levels.

Warmest regards,

Meredith Morris
2015 HRP President

"Bubbling Crude or Housing Bubble? Facing Uncertainty in the Energy and Housing Markets"

The State of Texas and especially the Houston area have benefitted enormously from high oil prices and new, more efficient ways of recovering oil and gas.  Hundreds of thousands of new residents flocked to area, while new jobs electrified the office and housing real estate markets.

As the saying goes, “All good things come to an end.”  Or have they?

Join HRP for this exciting event and hear information from industry professionals on how the price of oil has affected the economy locally, nationally and globally.
